Hey Ashes, I have no rec on a High Time for you, though I was listening to the High Time from 5/6/81 yesterday - Jerry's guitar is a little off but he belts out the lyrics in true heartfelt fashion.
Hope you are feeling better soon, I listened to some Jerry you sent my way about a year ago and it was 'just exactly perfect'.

Oh I found this yesterday, I guess most here have probably already heard it but if not (or not recently) it's pretty good:

hey ashes here is a high time thread started by He Live's last month that might help:

http://www.archive.org/iathreads/post-view.php?id=200402

I recall having a good time or should I say high time that night listening to 12 versions or so between crockett on 69-11-15 through OSU on 70-01-17...

here is the osu show:

(I like it since it precedes dark star.)

let me know if you require any additional links...

ENJOY!!!

veblen: ...if my foggy memory is accurate, I promised you a few items and never deliverd. Please forgive me. I cannot promise anything for anybody at anytime anymore. I am not well.

Thank you for the recs; got limited access to a computer but will do my best to download your recs as well as "strat's." How how great is "High Time,"(?) [rhetorical question -- don't answer.........]

ashes no worries regarding any tunes to be sent, plenty of time for that...just work on getting well, you are missed around here...

if nothing else one or two of those high times will put a smile on your face and uplift your spirits.

I put on the osu show of 70-01-17 and it certainly changed my attitude.

take care of your health and as the carter family sings: keep on the sunny side!!!

so trite, but oh so true...

Hey Ashes Sorry to hear you are not well and and disregard my other post as philosophical talk in the re: to this post, as I had not read down far enough duh. I think it's time now to ask if there is anything YOU need. So just let me know. But on the subject of the High Time I do have a remembered experience at a show in Cal Expo in 90 when they were singing I was having a hard time living the good life that completely jived and made me think about my current situation of what some might think was an ideal life of living in beautiful Lake Tahoe with great people and fun times but also still having that feeling that something was lacking and that I needed to move on to whatever was next, and I'll be dared if that realization at that show from that song didn't have an impact on my life for better or worse but there it is. Hoping that this has some relevance or at least makes you smile and feel better in any way.
Cheers, The Barong Song
